Elizabeth has lived in the Washington, D.C. area since 2001, following undergraduate studies in Violin Performance and English Literature at the University of Michigan. After several years of teaching private music lessons, she returned to school to earn a Nursing degree from the University of Maryland. Elizabeth has over ten years of experience in Nursing, working across the lifespan in variety of settings. As a Registered Nurse, Elizabeth worked in medical-surgical, neonatal intensive care, and home health nursing before returning to graduate school. She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree as part of the Family Nurse Practitioner program at George Mason University with a focus on evidence-based, holistic care across the lifespan. Elizabeth has also worked on multiple grants with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). She has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the primary care setting with a special interest and certification in advanced diabetes management. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys playing violin, running, reading, and spending time with her husband and three children.
