These drugs should be avoided or used with caution in patients with history of pancreatitis or at risk for pancreatitis.
  • These drugs should be used with caution or avoided in females of reproductive potential.
  • Please tell your healthcare team about all the medicines you are taking, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements and if you are taking other medicines to treat diabetes, including sulfonylureas or insulin. This class of drugsslow stomach emptying and can affect medicines that need to pass through the stomach quickly.
  • Before using any of these drugs, tell your healthcare team, if you have any other medical conditions, including pancreatic disorders, diabetes, kidney disease, diabetic retinopathy, depression or other mental health issues.
  • Do not use this class of drugs if you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant. These drugs may harm the unborn baby. You should stop using this class of drugs 2 months before you plan to become pregnant, and should not use them if you are breastfeeding.
